To fruit or not to fruit

Being 7mnths pregnant and loving fruits as my snack, I have been told many times by my obstetrician to cut down and eat it during meals. " fruits are extremely high in sugar and it will go straight to your hips." Says he. I walk out feeling fatter than I feel.

my reasons to stick to fruits :

 1. Fruits are high in antioxidants which help protect your cells from damage and reduce inflammation. Eating a diet high in antioxidants can also reduce your risk of cancer and other chronic diseases.

2. Most fruits are low calorie and low fat. While fruit does contain natural sugar, the benefits of eating fruit generally outweigh any potential dietary issues as long as you eat them in moderation. Fruits are high in fibre so you’ll actually feel full when you eat them and they will help increase your fibre intake, leading to healthy bowels.

One thing to avoid Is fruit juice. Example, having an orange is 60 calories and drinking a glass of orange juice is 111 calories. Having a full orange will make you fuller.
